
Roger Roth - Underwater filmmaker; founder & director of the international, non-profit Underwater Images Photo/Video Competition.
Roger Roth is a former science teacher and has been diving and filming underwater since 1988. He's earned nine international gold medals for underwater video production and has authored dozens of educational videos for schools and educational outreach programs around the world.
Mr. Roth believes that people protect what they love, so he uses his video productions to instill in all viewers, a love for the wonders of the underwater world.

Sea Turtle Conservation - There is a conservation group in Baja California, Mexico called Grupo Tortuguero which is made up of numerous sea turtle conservationists, scientists, and volunteers. These people meet annually to share their conservation techniques with each other. This film is about many of the people of Grupo Tortuguero and their programs. It’s meant to bring attention to the need for sea turtle conservation worldwide.
The Romance of Lembeh Straight - This film illustrates numerous marine behaviors of underwater species found in Lembeh Straight, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. These behaviors range from courting dances to mating processes, feeding processes and other behaviors specific to each of these creatures. Many of these creatures are smaller than a few centimeters and some are quite rare.
There is an important need to bring attention to the wonders of our oceans in order to create a love and respect for them in all people of the world. Our oceans are in dire need of conservation and protection.
